Format
This is the spiral-bound set. Spiral binding lays flat on the desk, which makes map labeling, charts, and writing pages easier, and it holds up to a full year of daily use. Your four printed workbooks (8.5" × 11") ship free. The Study Plan is delivered separately as a digital PDF download after purchase.
About the Set
Together the four books give a middle-school student a structured year of U.S.-focused social studies: government and civics, U.S. geography and map skills, and U.S. history from before 1492 to 2020. Every chapter follows the same rhythm — reading, vocabulary and comprehension practice, map, chart, and primary-source work, a Write page, and a ten-question Chapter Quiz — and every book ends with a Final Review and a complete answer key.
Best For
- Students who write, label, and draw a lot
- Homeschool families (secular and self-contained)
- Grades 5–8, ages 10–14
- Classrooms and co-ops
Important Note
The 36-Week Study Plan is a downloadable PDF, not a printed book. It sequences the four workbooks week by week with page numbers, a discussion question for every chapter, parent notes, check boxes, quiz score lines, and a year-end record page. It is licensed for one household or one teacher's own classroom. Schools, districts, co-ops, and libraries may contact Dylanna Publishing for a group license.

This is a great curriculum if you’re teaching your child about the U.S. government. It includes 8 lessons. You can do each one in a single day or spread them out over the week, depending on your schedule. Each lesson typically takes about 20–30 minutes. The curriculum also teaches in different ways—through reading, fill-in-the-blank activities crossword puzzles, and writing prompts—to keep your child engaged while reinforcing key concepts. There are also quizzes included, which help check understanding and build confidence as your child progresses. There was one “puzzle” where we had to look up the dates that certain events occurred as we couldn’t find it in the text. I didn’t mind that though.
The information, as well as the format of the books are excellent, however I hope in the future all the books are rendered in color.
